Mentoring | Hypnotherapy | Meditation

In my work these three elements (mentoring, hypnotherapy and meditation) form part of a single purpose: helping people develop their inner worlds in order to identify, build on and protect those most precious aspects of their lives. Everything I do works towards this purpose and all the tools I use are implemented to support this purpose.

Mentoring to me represents the container of all the work I do. Through discussion, building trust and engaging in a process that is beyond either of our total understanding we can start to uncover the causes underlying your core problems. Understanding these causes we can start to look clearly at a dynamic approach to finding solutions. I believe that we all have a deeper wisdom, uniquely applicable to our own lives, a source of nourishment and insight that can help us make sense of things. I believe that the best approach to finding those solutions is in developing a relationship with the wiser parts of us. Sometimes this aspect of us is obscured by other parts lingering in what is commonly called our 'subconscious'; fears, wounds, uncertainty, rage. In reality these parts are only temporarily underneath our conscious reckoning and as a matter of fact we can bring them into our conscious awareness and work with them respectfully to make real change inside, this is where hypnotherapy comes in.

Hypnotherapy has a rich history in using hypnosis to help people work through subconscious patterns to overcome obstacles, and help them achieve their goals. My own approach involves a gentle relaxation technique and the use of imagery and evocative language to encourage certain responses within you. I also find a gentle relaxation a great place to engage in parts work, exploring the scripts that parts of your psyche use in your everyday life, engaging with them and rewriting some of the scripts. In clearing space within your inner world one can start to open to a greater sense of joy, connectedness and responsibility in life. This can be further developed by practicing meditation.

In my guided Meditation sessions, I encourage clients to become acquainted with and close to the realm of silence, stillness and deep rest. In my experience this connection has been incredibly nourishing and life affirming and I feel everyone needs this relationship on some level. In some ways this is the most important part of my work and everything else can become a means for creating space for this connection. Whilst having access to this realm of silence can indeed do wonders in ones life generally, as one comes closer to it the sense of wellbeing and beauty that swoops in here has a deep value of its own. It starts to offer a different perspective on life and perhaps a subtle orientation towards harmonious living and contribution to the whole. This is where I feel the wheel of constant healing ends, because no matter how bad I feel, silence is there with its grace and sweetness. As a neurodivergent person I've developed unique approaches to meditation. Many of the traditional ways of doing this don't work for me and as such I've had the opportunity to innovate and find tools that I feel might be helpful for certain people and perhaps everyone.
